Position: Dental Receptionist
Location: National City
Rate: DOE
Status: Full Time, M-F 8:30am to 5:00pm
JOB SUMMARY
The Receptionist will perform front office duties include scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, insurance verification and financial arrangements and answering phones. Ensure patients are checked in according to office visit protocol. The position requires the ability to multitask and to work in a team environment. Must have an outgoing, friendly, meticulous, self motivated person with excellent written and communication skills and a great personality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Abilities. This person should possess abilities in "Customer Service" communications, both verbally and in writing. Able to perform tasks related to physical activity that include lifting up to 25 lbs., bending, and may have extended times of sitting and standing. Terminology knowledge of clinical/laboratory instruments, supplies and equipment. Able to prioritize and organize. Able to comply to standard operating procedures in an emergency situation. A high standard of professionalism is expected in speech and manner. Fluency in English required. Ability to be able to speak in Spanish and/or tagalog, not required but helpful. Must be motivated and dependable individual.
REQUIRED COMPUTER SKILLS
Operation Samahan utilizes cutting-edge technology in patient information systems, as such, candidate must have basic to intermediate computers skills such as business office automation which include word processing (typing skills at least 45 wpm), spreadsheets, internet, email, phone system) and be able to handle electronic work flow.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Dental Billing Experience highly preferred.
