Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Medical Director, the pharmacist will perform and supervise professional as well as administrative duties in the pharmacy. Pharmacist will be responsible for coordinating services with other departments at CHC and will be in charge of the pharmacy at all times. Functions include receiving and transcribing prescriptions; assuring proper dosage; contacting prescribing physicians with all concerns regarding dosage, relevant drug history, drug interactions, and/or known history of drug allergy. Pharmacist will also count, measure, mix, pour and compound drugs as needed. Pharmacy shall be secured and inaccessible to all other than a registered pharmacist.
Requirements:
-Registered Pharmacist or Doctor of Pharmacy.
-Must possess an active California License to provide pharmacy services as awarded by the Pharmacy Board of California; DEA Certificate required.
-Minimum one (1) year experience as pharmacist in retail pharmacy or clinic setting.
-Experience with PPC pharmacy computer system is also required.
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
